  • For Shot 3, Everything should be as practical as possible.

  • For Shot 4, simplify the stair shots or consider cutting it.

  • For Shot 5, Instead of 3D Crowds, consider using 2D crowd cards with dim lighting.

  • For Shot 6, Changing it from full CG to XR Stage shot. Make audiences cards out of focus and emphasize heels.

Crowd Cards Implementation:

As professors and mentors requested, we changed from 3D Crowd Sim to 2D cards. In unreal preview port, I imported the image sequence of crowd provided by Julian.

Then I created Media Player, Media Texture, and Materials for crowds.

I prepared two materials Crowds in the front three rows and ones at the back. For the front crowd cards, I took in the crowd texture, connected RGB to Base Color, connected alpha channel to Opacity and changed Blend Mode to Translucent.

For crowd cards at the back I disconnected base color from RGB and setting base color directly to black. In this way I create silhouette for back crowds.

Finally In level blueprint, using Open Source node and choose the crowd image sequence and the crowd will start moving.
